Granular Glass

Granular glass frog (Cochranella granulosa) in Costa Rica. This is the owner of the eggs I posted a while ago hanging on a leaf over a stream. I've never had a chance to find and photograph this species before so this was a thrill. Probably one of the prettiest Glass Frogs I've ever seen. Two new species for me this year....the Ghost and the Granular!

The Hot List For Christmas!

Hybrid

Wild Scarlet x Great Green Macaw in Costa Rica. (Naturally occurring). These species are wild and areas they occupy overlap which occasionally means Scarlet and Greens will breed together and create this beautiful hybrid.

The Ghost

What a great trip!! Three weeks still wasn't long enough, so next year will be a month. My visits there will never be long enough...really have to find property and live there for some of the year! This years trip was a nice mixture of photography and lots of time with our friends. It's so hard only seeing some of our favorite people for a few weeks every year :-(

We had lots of great sightings and the biggest deal for me was finally finding this Ghost Glass Frog. I've been searching since 2012!!
