Wild Black Bear Sow in Ontario, Canada. This female wasn't sure about the sound of the camera and shortly after this photo she bluff charged me. When I didn't react she turned around and went up a nearby tree. After a while she accepted our presence and the sounds of the camera and took a nap in the tree.

Bearly Awake

Had a fantastic time away camping and feel so lucky to have found a few bears...a sow with two cubs and yesterday a sow with three little ones. This little guy was my favorite. What was even better was having the sightings all to ourselves!

Life In Black & White

Well I'm back from Algonquin and have one day to get laundry done, charge and clean gear before heading out again for my first camping trip of the year. I can't wait!!!

Since I haven't had time to edit any new stuff, here's one from the walk near Castle Geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
