Quiet Content

 I'm so excited to share that my photo "Quiet Content" has been chosen for the Highly Honored Award in the Wildlife category of the 2020 Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards competition.

This years competition had more than 30,000 amazing submissions from photographers in 75 countries! The Grand Prize, Youth Photographer of the Year, Category Winners, and all Highly Honored images will be published in the 2021 Fall/Winter Special Collectors' Edition of Nature’s Best Photography magazine and be displayed through social media, website presentations, and exhibitions.

The Warning

Since bears are out now I thought it would be a great time to post this photo. Black Bears give very clear warning signs when they're nervous or upset and while some are not as obvious - this bear is showing all the signs that a stomp/swat or bluff charge is imminent.
