Burrowing Owlet in Florida

Uh Oh!

When a nearby Marmot put out an alarm call all the Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrels would also be on alert and stand up. These guys are so cute and full of personality.

Don't call me a chipmunk!

I'm back from a wonderful time with friends in the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. Sightings were slow and photo opportunities were limited but it didn't matter...the company was more important! We did spend lots of time with these cute Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrels and Marmots since they were always happy to pose when there wasn't action elsewhere :-D
